MAC BURGUNDY TIMES NINE PALETTE REVIEW

MAC BURGUNDY TIMES NINE PALETTE REVIEW

It’s beauty talk today!

All my life, I had been only using M.A.C lipsticks but I wanted to switch the game with something going on my eyes, and yep! I bought their eye shadow palette. So, today I have the review about the very beautiful M.A.C Burgundy Times Nine Palette.

It all started with my love for MAC lipsticks as we all knows how gorgeous their matte/satin/retro matte (you name it!) colors are and nothing beats the sustainability of the product. I was at the MAC store the other day to pick or rather choose another lipstick collection till the MUA lady came up to me and told me we could make our own eye shadow palettes, … Now, we all know that as much as MAC is so irresistible one thing for sure they are quite expensive so I wasn’t so sure if I should pick my own choice of palette.

And then, she showed me this: Eye Shadow X 9 Burgundy Times Nine

This well-edited palette features a colour wave of burgundy hues that offer countless shade combinations. It provides an array of textures from matte to satin to frost for creating a variety of looks for both day and night. The saturated, soft and smooth hues are all packaged in one compact for easy portability.

There is no doubt at all in the quality and this palette is up to M.A.C. usual high standard. The matte shades are lovely and buttery and easy to blend, while the shimmery shades have a real wow factor to them and most pack serious pigmentation.

  • Honey Lust: Bronze dipped peach (Lustre)
  • Poppyseed: Midtone mauvey nude (Satin)
  • Quarry: Soft muted plum brown (Matte)
  • Antiqued: Ash brown with bronze (Veluxe Pearl)
  • Embark: Intense reddish brown (Matte)
  • #Noir: Deep black brown w/ gold pearls (Velvet)
  • Haux: Soft muted rosy brown (Satin)
  • Star Violet: Pinky brown plum (Veluxe Pearl)
  • Sketch: Burgundy with red shimmer (Velvet)

Overall view on the product:

The smoothness of the shades depends on the finish. Some shades are easier to work with and blend together, some take a little bit of effort. The color Sketch is a favourite of mine in all of this palette.

The Burgundy Times Nine seems to offer better eyeshadow quality shades in general. It has a good variety of shades and variations in finishes to be able to create looks that can take you from neutral to exotic or from daywear to evening out.

Retail price: MYR 210.00
