How To Glam Red Lips

Have you ever wondered what life will be without red lipstick trends?

The color red is a phenomenal color that you wouldn’t miss seeing – be it in a wedding ceremony or if you’re out on a dinner date, red lip wear is the lit of the event! One knows you can never go wrong in this one.

When I think of red lips, my mind immediately races on glamour, grace, and elegance. Regardless of your skin tone, the color red is subtle and fashionable but first, you’ll need to understand the basics.

Girls with pale/fair skin are advised to go for darker red shades. I’d say a touch of raspberry or cranberry tint because it gives a more playful and mysterious look!

My picks → • M.A.C Matte lipstick in ‘Rebel’ or Urban Decay Cream Vice Lipstick in ‘Shame’

#2 Those with a neutral/medium skin tone (like me) should give their preferences to classic red. It brings back the retro times and boosts your confidence level!

My picks → • MAC Retro Matte Lipstick in ‘Ruby Woo‘ or ‘Russian Red‘

#3 Women with olive or darker skin tones are advised to pick deep red, burgundy, brick/fiery orange-red shades, reason being, unlike our lighter tone girlfriends – The blue undertones turns pink on an olive-toned skin person.

My picks → • NYX Slim Pencil in ‘Plush‘ • Bobbi Brown Luxe Lip color in ‘Sunset Orange‘ or MAC Lipstick in ‘Morange‘

I’m a medium tone person, sort of like a caramel toned-skin. When I started having an interest in make-up, I started understanding more on undertones (that I will share about it on my next article) that will suit my skin complexion rather than just going crazy in purchasing a red shade lipstick. Have you ever been in a situation that your favorite Youtuber may be wearing a beautiful red shade but when you have it on you, it doesn’t match? That’s the same concept here too.

I am a huge fan of MAC cosmetics lipstick shade, I think they have the best matte colors ever! I developed a desirable addiction on the retro matte shades in Ruby Woo and slowly explored into a much deeper shade like the Russian Red shade.

So here it is girls, anyone can pull off a red lip! No matter who you are or what skin complexion you are born with, as long as you know its beautiful on you or that you are happy with it, it’s all yours. So design you artistically!
