Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow to Go Palette Review

Hello beauty fam…

Here’s a makeup update …. Drum rolls,… I have been attending makeup classes recently and I must admit there is a lot in the beauty world that I had little thoughts on. When my instructor asked me what’s my shade on contouring, I had no idea about that one cause I have NEVER done a contour on my face and I finally found a brilliant shade.

Who has picked this gem from @tartecosmetics ?

Tarte Tarteist Pro Glow to Go Highlight & Contour Palette

Its sold in Sephora – MYR 95.00 that includes two highlighters and one contour powder. It’s a compact trio housed in a slim, black cardboard palette that has a velvet touch on the outside and it is a portable highlight and contour palette. You can keep it in your make up pouch/handbag and what I really adore is it comes with a mirror on the inside. I would have been happier if it comes with a brush or applicator.

Highhlights: To begin with, both of the highlighters (Gleam & Burst) have a frost finish. Gleam is a light, golden beige with warm undertones whereas Burst is a frosted sheen and is a bright, creamy yellow with a golden frosted shimmer. I love the intense highlight it gives to my cheeks without any fading. They have a soft and smooth texture that blends well and doesn’t emphasize pores.

⇔ If you prefer subtle highlighters, then I don’t think this is yours.

Contour: ‘Chisel’ (sounds like a wind blow), is a contour shade that has a matte brown finish with warm undertones. It had good pigmentation with a firmer consistency. Due to it’s powdery finish it works well on my skintone, fairly blendable and super pigmented!

Shades:

  • Gleam (pearl highlight)
  • Burst (shimmering sand highlight)
  • Chisel (matte contour)

WHAT TARTE HAS TO SAY:

These colours will work for someone who likes warmer/more intense highlighters and has use for the tone and depth of contour powder.  If you’re looking for a new contour palette, and you’re a highlight/glowy skin like me, I’d highly recommend the Tarteist Pro Glow To.

This product can be found in any Sephora outlet in Malaysia or you can get them online here.
