8 Ways To Live A Content Live

Have you ever noticed that happy people have their own way to rule their steps? They would walk their talk and fill a boring room with rainbows of happiness simply because they have a pleasant aura that outshines gloominess. Happy people seem to have figured out the heartfelt way to live a full life.

Researches have it that happy people have habits they practice daily and most of them contradict what society says is best. Happy people don’t look outside themselves for happiness but they lean on their inner circle emotions and follow their guts.

Happiness is cultivated by action, and the faster we can unlearn the life lessons that society tells us, the sooner we will feel happiness.  Truly, there is no one-size-fits-all, program to fully-attain contentment in your life.

Here are eight ways that have helped me further develop contentment in mine/your lives:

  • Control your attitude.

A person who lacks contentment in their life will often engage in “when I get a new house, then I will be happy.” Instead, take control of your own life. Remember, your happiness is not connected to possession. We are here on earth for a temporary visit and your happiness should be based solely on your decision to be happy – and this may be one of the most important life lessons you can ever learn.

  • Stop comparing your life with others.

Social media has taken a ride on our generation that too much is too little. Sometimes we scroll across someone else’s Instagram/Youtube and tell ourselves “wish I have this life of hers/his”. The rule of comparison of your life with someone else’s will always lead to discontentment. There will always be people who “appear” to be better off than you and seemingly living the perfect life. But be advised, we always compare the worst of what we know about ourselves to the best assumptions that we make about others. Their life is never as perfect as your mind makes it out to be. You are unique. You are special. And it’s always better that way.

  • Be grateful

Being thankful never falls out. So be grateful for everything you have NOW. Not yesterday, last month, a year ago or what it will be in the future. But NOW. Be it if it’s food on the table or to have a roof under your head to sleep at night. You need to take the time out of your day and give thanks either out loud or in your mind for all the things you have. This simple task takes less than a minute and will have a dramatic impact on your current happiness. Trust me, it works!

Love yourself for who you are. Don’t try to be someone you aren’t. You don’t have to change anything about yourself in order to be happy and content. Never stop learning, growing, or discovering. Take pride in your self-development, personhood and the progress that you have made, but never become so content that you cannot find room for improvement. As soon as you stop LOVING yourself, you start dying. When you show up for yourself, you can show up for the world.

  • Fake your happiness until you make it.

Do you know that faking can be one of the greatest tools you have for changing your mindset? Feelings are often followed by actions. Have you ever get yourself in a situation when someone cracks a joke and you have got no idea what it is but you actually end up laughing! So fake being happy right now until you really start to feel that way. Easy isn’t it?

Push away every anger and negative energy that surrounds you today.  A negative vibe brings nothing but depression and hates upon your existence. Be positive and stay optimistic. Don’t worry yourself with a negative attitude or by being around negative people. Life is too short to be stuck in a ‘hulk mode’.

Fully sharing yourself is the key to a happy life. Being vulnerable means you don’t hide away, instead, you fully embrace yourself and shine your light. Strive for the best and settle for whatever you end up with. Don’t worry if you don’t come out on top. Most of us don’t. Give it your best shot and be happy where you end up.

  • You are who you are.

You are not a noun. You are so much more than your job title, role or position in life. Start celebrating you for you, because you make a difference just as you are.

Live for this moment and forget about the past or things that haven’t happened yet. Living in the moment will get you involved in what is going on currently. Take the time to explore your senses. Enjoy the atmosphere where your at or maybe go outside and listen to the sounds of nature. Good luck!

9 Cures For Bad Days

We all have bad days. Especially that one day when everything just goes wrong. When your plans don’t go according to the way you imagined it to be, you got drenched under the rain, and your car won’t start? Those kinds of day are the worst. When you face those days, it’s tough to gather your thoughts straights or rather envision a moment when all good things goes in the direction you want them to be. And it’s even harder to stay focused in the present moment because the present is where the trouble takes place.

Easier said than done, staying positive in a negative situation is the toughest aspect of living a positive present moment. No matter how much you realize that being positive will benefit you, but when times are tough – I truly mean tough-tough times, it can be really hard not to slip into a negative mindset. When it comes to overcoming my bad days, I’ve tried different sort of methods to ease myself – from indulging into my favorite ice-cream to singing out on top of my lungs while I drive my car – letting myself immerse into my frustration so I can distract my mental challenges.

9 REMEDIES FOR BAD DAYS

I had personally tried these methods and these are my immediate problem solver, lets get right at it..

  • Try taking a relaxing hot shower.
    • Apparently, there is nothing like taking a hot bath during your tough days. It not only relaxes your muscles but also enhances your mood which leaves you feeling alive. If bathing isn’t your thing, (or you don’t have time for it) brew yourself a cup of coffee or tea and sip it mindfully. Allow yourself to feel the satisfaction that benefits from drinking a warm drink, because it offers you a chance to take your mind off from whatever that’s playing in it.
  •  Go out for a jog.
    • Yes, put on your jogging shoes and run, Or sign up for a dance class. Anything that will get your heart rate up and pumping is GOOD. Jump up and down a few times, who cares?
  • Music-Music
    • Melody is very essential in our lives. More like, it is a part of our life.  Therefore listen to musics that uplifts you. Believe me, putting together a positive playlist will make a huge difference in your mood. It may not solve all of your troubles, but it certainly would kick start your day to begin with.
  • Essential of Prayer.
    • Spend some time into prayers & meditation (whichever that you prefer). The only solution to your bad day is when you have a heart warming conversation with your  Creator. In bad times, it’s best that you seek the Lord for inner strength because when you bow down to your Creator , you can face your any storms!
  • Get dressed put on some make-up.
    • It’s proven scientifically that when you look good, you feel good about yourself. I think it’s a good idea to find a way to distract yourself from your frustration or anger and focus on something more positive. So, put and that heels and rock on girls!
  • Take a break from the social media.
    • At times, we all need to stay present in the reality world than being virtually connected on the internet. Organise something small and dedicate yourself to finishing it. Try out some cooking lessons or craft work – do something that you’ve not done for a long time, or sit and speak to someone you love. You will find a sense of comfort and accomplishment. Trust me.
  • Reflect on the happy moments.
    • You need to first believe that every season has a beginning & an ending. Your tough times will not last forever, at times difficult situations are our lessons to abide on. The more you ponder on positive reflections, the more you will start to notice positive change in your life.
  • Speak to someone you love
    • Sharing your deepest thoughts to the one you love will ease your burden from the inside. As for me, I would always call my mother. She has the power to make me smile even when my world turns upside down. So, what are you waiting for? Pick up your phone and make that call today.
  • Laugh,
    • Laugh on girl, just – laugh. Try to live it in the moment. Laughter is the best medicine!

Always remember: Everybody can be happy and positive when life goes smooth and well. It’s during the tough times that proves, who is really able to control themselves and stay calm and positive. I know you can do it.

So, now its your turn to tell me what works best for you to cure your bad days.  Leave a comment below and share this post with a friend in need.
